Abstract:
Language is means of communication which is sometimes difficult to understand. Communicative semiotics and signs cannot be separated, because signs are parts of the message conveyed by other people. A signifier is a sign that can be seen by the eye, its form or physical form can be seen, while a signified is the meaning contained in a message that has the concept, function and value contained in the sign. Therefore, signifier and signified can help to better understand the meaning or message contained in the symbols in the film, one of which is the meaning of feminism. Then, what are the symbols and the meaning of feminism in the film Enola Holmes based on si ifier and signified studies, what are the differences between the film Enola Holmes (2020) and Enola Holmes (2022) based on the representation of liberal feminism. The purpose of this research is to examine femininity in the film Enola Holmes. This research the method that was used in analyzing Feminism in Enola Holmes Film Scene is descriptive qualitative research. The researcher shows 15 data of liberal feminism. There are 10 data liberal feminism started Enola Holmes (2020) and 5 data liberal feminism from Enola Holmes (2022). Based on the data analysis conducted and the findings from the research data, it can be concluded that the character Enola Holmes in the film Enola Holmes is generally found to be a representation of feminism. The representation of the reality of feminism from the appearance of the character Enola Holmes was described as not following the European culture that existed at that time Enola was considered to be a deviation from society and its social strata.
